Some history
In 1980 I started my first apprenticeship as a Furniture maker, I commenced a second trade in 1981 as a wood turner. I completed both of these trades in 1984.Between 1980 and 1986 I worked within the residential building industry as a cabinet/furniture maker. In 1986 I moved into the general construction side of building and started undertaking small infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia. Around 1988 I commenced working as a site supervisor for “Environmental Industries” as a site supervisor I was responsible for running commercial and civil works. These works included significant bulk earthworks projects including “The Sanctuary” golf course, “Port Geograph” subdivision stages 1, 2 and 3, “Buckland hill estate” entry and parklands. I continued as a site supervisor/project manager undertaking these larger civil and landscape projects until around 1992.At this stage I moved back towards construction and public infrastructure including large projects at Rottenest Island, Kings park and Joondalup. In 1998 I obtained a 3rd trade as a Carpenter and joiner. During this period, I studied to obtain an associate diploma in building. My work continued in the public infrastructure area until around 2005, at this point I started to move toward general residential construction and obtained my builders registration around this time.Around 2008 I started undertaking building inspections and writing reports, I have continued to be involved in both the residential construction and expert reports to this day.Around 2012 I started university study in the civil and structural engineering areas.
